Dark River is a representation of the deep corridors of the mind and facing one’s fears.

 

There is a feeling of being in a labyrinth where the walls are not climbable and the path ahead is long and distant. The only way to truly free yourself is to follow the dark river upstream into the unknown.

 

This is a symbolic place in which Josh faced many challenges when both of his brothers were killed.
